[This title was improvised]
The workplace offers up many opportunities for funny stories, as just about anyone will tell you. Well, if you wanted tell a story of your own, and then have it acted out in front of you, you’re about to have your chance.
Work in Progress is an entirely improvised comedy troupe that specialises in acting out the often hilarious and unbelievable antics of the office-space. Whether it is water-cooler humour, the body politic of the white-collar worker or the sign-off to an especially inappropriate e-mail (or un-ending series of cat video attachments), Work in Progress is here to bring them all laughably to life.
How does it all work, you ask? It’s simple, they ask, you tell and then they perform it while you try not to bust a gut or split a side. With an extremely dedicated and talented cast of improvisers, and I mean that; this lot will have you rolling in the aisles.
So what are you waiting for, get over to the Sheffield Local Theatre, buy yourself a ticket and tell them your funniest work-hour blunder.
Work in Progress is on at Sheffield Local Theatre between the 18th and 20th of September, with tickets starting from £5-8. Show starts at 19:30, so do not miss it!
