“…With Gerd Janson, Move D and Ben UFO all heading up boat parties, there’s no messing about on the waves either, with 21 to choose from…”

Now in its third edition, Love International festival is hitting its stride. With this week’s announcement of its brand new vinyl label, and the arrival of the after-party and boat party line-ups, things are really heating up ahead of this June’s 8 day extravaganza. We thought it was high time they deserved a full preview.

Love International hits Tisno, Croatia from June 27th – July 4th. Tisno is quickly becoming Croatia’s hottest and most reputable festival destinations, its enclosed bay and luscious beaches make it an intimate yet striking place to party. With Dekmantel Selectors, Soundwave and Defected all on site, and the former Garden Festival, it’s a seasoned party site, rest assured there’ll be no teething problems. Formerly a holiday camp for the Croatian military, Tisno sits smack bang in the middle of the Dalmatian Coast, within reach of Split and Zadar airports. And to top it off, there’s the now famous Barbarella’s, a magical open-air space hemmed in by pine trees and glimmering sea.

With just 2500 lucky revellers allowed in to the festival, Love International serves a niche community of music lovers, with a truly underground line up of the finest disco, house, techno and more. The bill has grown each year, with favourites like Midland returning, as well as debuts this year from the holy trinity of Floating Points, Four Tet and Hunee, three tastemakers of a generation. The announcement of the after-parties and boat-parties at Love Intl cements the expectation of quality over the full 8 days. Barbarella’s is open on all 8 nights, hosting Hunee, Bicep, and Horse Meat Disco across the week. With Gerd Janson, Move D and Ben UFO all heading up boat parties, there’s no messing about on the waves either, with 21 to choose from.

The festival’s co-founder, Tom Paine, explains: “We are feeling really happy with the lineup for 2018 which features many brilliant debuts and some very welcome friends and family returning. Our third year is going to be very special indeed for everyone and we can’t wait for the summer!”Accommodation is available on site, with 80 air-conditioned apartments all with balconies or terraces on offer, as well as mobile homes, glamping tents, hostels and traditional DIY camping. Tisno is also full of Airbnbs and hostels, so you’re bound to find somewhere fitting for your budget.
