To help reign in the New Year, Sheffield latest LGBTQ+ organisation, Kelham Pride, will be teaming up with one of the city’s most revered music venues – Yellow Arch Studios – to host NYE PROUD, a New Years experience like no other.

Set to offer something for everyone in the community and its allies, event goers can expect DJs, “Dragaoke”, live music, games, freebies, and – of course – fireworks!

Beyond the massive celebration, NYE PROUD will also be raising funds for Kelham Pride – an event which last year saw nearly 10,000 people in Kelham Island and Neepsend for a full day of fun, freedom, and inclusivity. It marked the first time the group worked with Yellow Arch studios and is set to return again next year.

Ben McGarry, chairperson of Kelham Island and Neepsend Community Alliance – the team who organise Kelham Pride – said: “It’s fantastic to once again collaborate with the brilliant team at Yellow Arch, who are a stalwart fixture of Sheffield’s creative community.”

He continued by sharing his excitement for next year’s Kelham Pride and support of the money to help fund it:

“The first year was such a success and it was incredible to see how many people came down to our corner of the city to be part of it. We’re very grateful to be abel to put on this New Year’s eve party to help us do it all over again.”

Russel Frisby, of Yellow Arch Studios, said: “We didn’t have to think twice about collaborating with Kelham Pride again following the amazing event earlier in the year.”

Tickets are on sale now, ranging from £5 – £10, and you can buy them here. It is an 18+ event.
