The Future Now festival is a celebration of creative talent from Sheffield Hallam University 2022 graduates, available online and across Sheffield City Centre through a range of exhibitions, events, performances, and screenings. From 16th –27th May, Future Now is offering visitors a chance to discover new ways of understanding the world through art, design, architecture, film, photography, performance, and writing.
From fashion to new videogames, human-centred approaches to the built environment to greater sustainability in the products we use, the festival presents creative solutions to real problems. These ‘creatives’ introduce new brands and services, help us glimpse alternative realities, and introduce new enterprises, but most importantly, they tell stories and documentation of the world as they find it and as they would like to see it.
BA Fine Art graduate, Maddison Acton said “Doing the show was great, though a very stressful way to finish my time at Hallam. The exhibition is engaging and full of a variety of works which are worth looking at”. To view Maddison’s exhibition, The Man Living Inside of Me, click here.
Charlotte Sendall, also a BA Fine Art graduate states “From being part of the curation team for the Equinox Exhibition, I have witnessed the process and journey of this show go through several staqges of blood, sweat and tears. However, it has been so enjoyable! Everyone has given their all and I couldn’t be more proud. The works submitted for the exhibition is absolutely beautiful – you cannot miss this! The exhibition is only on for a limited amount of time, so I’d suggest to everyone to check it out”. If you want to check out Charlotte’s exhibition, A Woman’s Life, click here.
