Tramlines have announced the return of their Apply-to-Play scheme, with musicians from across South Yorkshire and the rest of the UK able to apply.

The Apply-to-Play scheme, which has been a feature of Tramlines for many years, has been revamped this year for Tramlines 2023. The winner of the scheme will receive an incredible prize, which includes:

  • £500 worth of rehearsal and recording credits at Pirate Studios
  • A feature interview in our very own Exposed Magazine
  • A series of paid festival slots at Truck Festival in Oxford, Victorious Festival in Portsmouth, as well as at Tramlines
  • An invitation to perform at This Feeling’s industry showcase event at The Social in front of music industry professionals

Runners-up will receive a paid slot at Tramlines, as well as £100 credit at Pirate Studios.

All applicants will be judged by the Tramlines team and a panel of experts, who will then produce a shortlist of artists which will then be put to a public vote.

Timm Cleasby, operations director at Tramlines, said:

“Local music and new acts have always been a key feature of the festival. It’s always such a privilege to feature acts who then go on to achieve great things and we must continue to use the platform the Tramlines provides to support and nourish local music. I am excited to see which acts blow us away this year.”
