Theatre Deli, has announced its upcoming summer season, which will be the first since its opening this year.

The new season will see the introduction of a brand new artistic team Daljinder Singh and Miranda Debenham who will be accompanied by the return of the theatre’s renowned range of diverse and alternative performances from not only the local area but beyond. 

“This season of work is a great expression of everything Deli stands for – accessible, diverse and exciting performances from both local and national talent,” – Miranda Debenham,

Alongside Refugee Week, the theatre will see the internationally acclaimed musician Michael Cretu who will be presenting an evening of Balkan Roma Contemporary Jazz on the 16th June. Along with that, there will also be contemporary dance performances  by harmony. The week will also feature 天人合一 by Ellandar Productions on the 2nd- 3rd June and TRY|TRYING|TRIED by Owen & Slater on the 22nd July. The week will also feature an improv show Mates: The Improvised 90s Sitcom and a thought-provoking  theatre performance of I Love You, Mum- I Promise I Won’t Die by Octopus Dream Theatre between the 7th and 9th July.

The theatre will also be continuing its free artist support initiatives (Producers MeetUp, Open Stage Night Deli DropIns) that will be happening on a regular basis throughout the year. These aren’t the only thing artists should be on the look out for, has on the Theatre Deli’s social media, space within the venue will be given away for free each week as part of their Free Space Fridays. 

The theatre, based in Arley Street, features three rehearsal rooms with one being a dance studio with custom-built dance floors and mirrors and a performance space that can host 120 people. They not only have spaces for practice but also feature a bar and cafe. The theatre is open 10am-6pm, Monday-Friday and is available for hire for events such as workshops, conferences, music nights and film screening.
