Fan City will provide football fanatics with a place to immerse themselves in Euro matches throughout the summer.

It only feels right to be celebrating football’s heritage in the city where the world’s oldest football team was born, and the family-friendly, 4000-capacity football village in Devonshire Green will be home to the biggest outdoor LED screens in South Yorkshire, allowing fans to take in every moment of Euro 2024.

In a statement today, an official spokesperson for Fan City, said: “We’re thrilled to bring the excitement of Euro 2024 to Sheffield with Fan City.”

“It’s more than just watching matches; it’s about coming together as a community, celebrating our love for the game, and we hope to finally see England lift that long-awaited trophy in the heart of Sheffield, in what is arguably the home of modern football as we know it.”

Fan City kicks off for the first Scotland v Germany game on Friday 14 June. Visitors will be able to enjoy a range of culinary delights with the food village offering up an assortment of street food from across the globe. Ice-cold beers and a variety of cocktails will ensure that fans are able to celebrate any victories England has coming up.

Fan City will not only excite football fans but will provide live music, film screenings, and player Q&As to capture the true spirit of the game.

The Executive Director of City Futures at Sheffield City Council, Kate Martin, said: “With the UEFA European Championships taking place in Germany this year, it kick starts a wonderful summer of sporting highlights, alongside the Olympics and Paralympics in Paris in July and August.

“Sheffield is the home of football and the world’s oldest football club and to be able to host for football fans the Fan City experience and not only watch England games, but also a month of international matches and other sporting and community events is fantastic.”

Entry to all games is free, except for England matches. VIP and general admission ticket options for England games will be going on sale in April and will be available here.
