The Vice Press Open House is returning to Sheffield for the second time and has upgraded to an even bigger venue for more film fun.
The Open House will take place on Saturday 8 June at its brand new venue, The Steamworks, to celebrate the work of independent artists and vendors. The event will run from 11am to 6pm.
From Jaws to the Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, Vice Press has been offering up alternative movie and TV posters since 2015 and has amassed a cult following.
The Open House event was co-founded by iconic Sheffield-based artist Mark Ferguson to recognise the work of some of the UK’s best self-made artists.
The improved venue will allow for even more artists, vendors, and attendees to participate in the Open House, including Greg Staples Art, Mark Bell, and Sohpie Bland. Each artist will be displaying and selling their work at their individual stalls.
To make this year’s event extra special, Vice Press is holding an afterparty in The Showroom Cinema Cafe Bar straight after the Open House, where you can get 10% off hot drinks and 20% off food with a wristband. They have also partnered with Celluloid Screams to put on a special screening of RoboCop at the Showroom Cinema at 8pm.
Aside from all of the film fun, Mark Woodyatt from the Mark & Me Podcast will be hosting a series of live podcast recordings and chats with the artists in the Podcast Lounge.
The Open House will allow attendees to have a relaxing catch-up with the rest of the Vice Press community. Grab a drink from the bar and some food from the many independent vendors taking part to fuel yourself for the day.
Pick up a ticket quickly, as last year’s event was a total sellout! Under 12’s tickets are free with an accompanying general admissions ticket. Tickets are available to buy here.
