With a powerful Pioneer sound system installed and bespoke LED lighting system, clubbers have been wowed by DJ sets from highly acclaimed DJs including an intimate show from techno heavyweight Marcel Dettman.

Richard Welch, FØRGE Director, said: “Converting the space since it was bought during COVID has had its challenges. Seeing a community forming throughout our opening events has been humbling and made the slog to open last month all worthwhile.

“Cultivating a space and atmosphere to encourage this community is at the centre of what we want to achieve here at FØRGE.”

Their carefully constructed line-ups, including a mix of local talent with internationally acclaimed DJs, continue through the end of October with two huge shows.

Horse Meat Disco are a firm Sheffield favourite with sell-out performances at Tramlines Festival (2018) and other acclaimed local venues. During their performance on Fri 14th October at FØRGE they are joined by Prosumer playing his unique blend of steamy house and groovy techno with an extended warm-up set from Angela Kendall. Local support comes from Bambino, Melly D, Nonna Fab and Sheffield legend now in his fourth decade of DJing, Solid State.

The following week, on Fri 21st October, will see Joy Orbison touch down in Sheffield with support from Diessa, MYNA, Daebak, Eze and Groundwork. Joy Orbison is one of the most renowned, respected and influential electronic artists of his generation.

With genre-less sets, he has been at the forefront of the underground music scene since his meteoric rise in 2009. MYNA of Sheffield based Mondo Radio will play her eclectic selections with a heavy African influence.

Richard added: “Our next two events with Horse Meat Disco and Prosumer on the 14th and Joy Orbison on the 21st are of huge importance to us for that reason. Not only because they’re incredible acts gracing the venue, but these bookings show the musical diversity in our programming.”
