Sensoria will be back as ever later on in the year, but the team love to put on events to whet our appetite for the main event, and there’s one coming up very soon.

On Sunday 26th May, starting in the afternoon at the Theatre Deli, they are hosting SuffraJitsu Day – a film and workshop event, inspired by the Suffragette movement at the turn of the last century. The day will revolve around a new film SuffraJitsu, which is a celebration of those pioneering women, filmed, quite literally, through a 21st century lens.

The programme starts with the launch screening of the film, followed by a Q&A with the group behind all this DNW (Deeds Not Words), who will also be showing some previous films.

Other events include a Resistance workshop, hosted by Girl Gang which aims to help participants find their voice, build confidence and resilience and combines movement and theatre, exercise, discussion and games.

The event finished with a chance to see the documentary Metang / Maya / M.I.A.  – an intimate portrait of the Sri Lankan artist and musician who continues to shatter conventions.

Tickets are available online for £5.50, plus the usual fees
