Sheffield Theatres have recently announced winning The Stage’s Regional Theatre of the Year Award for 2016.

With this in mind, what better time to dip into some of the cultural offerings they’ve got coming up? Here are some of our top picks this month at The Crucible, Lyceum and Studio this month.

Blood Brothers: Willy Russel’s classic is coming to The Lyceum! This timeless and tragic tale is one you shouldn’t miss. 23 JAN—4 FEB

Ghost: The Musical: The Oscar-winning movie is transported to the stage and is just as stunning to watch. With an expanded book and a new score this is a truly amazing retelling (and yes, “Unchained Melody” is still in there.)  6 FEB—11 FEB

Everybody’s Talking About Jamie: A brand new and original musical that everyone really will be talking about. It’s a new twist on the classic ‘coming of age’ tale format, and being set in Sheffield we’re looking a new local hit.  9 FEB—25 FEB

Gaslight: The 1938 mystery thriller is back on the stage and mesmerising audiences. Such beautiful playwriting makes this a tale that still has audiences on the edge of their seats. FEB—25 FEB

The Play That Goes Wrong: This would be the greatest murder mystery ever told, if only things would go right… Great laughs all around! Multi-award winning and highly praised, if you fancy some fun at the theatre then this is your night. 13 FEB—18 FEB
