The general election is nearly upon us (just in case you haven’t seen it in the news), and you finally now have a chance to change the landscape of this country! Or have a good time doing it, at least…
On Friday 5th July, Sheffield pub Dog and Partridge are hedging their bets and organising a big election night party to, in their words, “wave goodbye/give the middle finger to the Tories” while raising money for S6 Foodbank.
From 7pm onwards, the Pack Up & F*ck Off party will be hosted by local drag legend Bipolar Abdul. “It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for!” said Sorcha Smith from The Dog and Partridge. “After 14 years of Tory misrule and misery, it’s the party we all deserve.”
As well as what looks to be a smashing night of joy, laughter and a chance to toast the end of a rather miserable period of government that has spawned five Tory prime ministers in eight years, there is also an opportunity to win some cracking raffle prizes courtesy of Sheffield-based businesses.
Donated by local independent businesses, with tickets priced at £5 for two or five for a tenner, prizes will include:
