The International Aid for the Protection and Welfare of Animals (IAPWA) will be hosting a charity ice bath competition at R1se Yoga Studios in Sheffield at the end of July.
The event is called ‘Dip for Dogs’, and it has been making its way around the UK over the summer. It exists to raise funds for the IAPWA, whose mission is to provide vital support and aid to animals in need, championing their protection and welfare. They work to alleviate suffering, promote animal rights, and create sustainable solutions for long-term change.
Participants will have the opportunity to compete for prizes: a chance to join an expedition to climb Mount. Kilimanjaro or win one year’s free membership at R1se Yoga Studios. It’s simple: make a donation, sit in the ice bath for 60 seconds and you’re entered into the draw. There are even double ice baths so you can take it on with a friend! In addition to the exhilarating competition, attendees can look forward to a raffle, a tempting bake sale and various other games and prizes up for grabs.
It’s been an absolute pleasure organising this, which will be the biggest Dip for Dog’s event we have ever done! It’s so great to be able to combine ice baths and animal welfare, therefore taking care of animals while taking care of your mental health!
R1se Yoga Studios, known for fostering physical and mental well-being, recognises the importance of extending compassion and care towards our fellow creatures. By hosting the ‘Dip for Dogs’ Ice Bath Competition, R1se aims to make a significant impact in supporting IAPWA.
The event will take place on July 30. For more information, see https://www.r1se.co.uk/ice-baths
