Prosaic, a curatorial team based in Sheffield, will be staging a large-scale group exhibition of paintings in October entitled Prosaic Mosaic. It will be held at Bloc Projects and will run from 22 – 26 October. The exhibition will feature small works from over fifty artists, including well-known Sheffield artists Mandy Payne, Andy Cropper and Joanna Whittle, as well as established artists from further afield such as Judith Tucker, Helen Blake and Edwin Aitken. Seen together, the artists’ varied works will form a larger picture – a mosaic of contemporary painting practice. The exhibition programme will also include a Painters’ Forum event which will be open to the public on Saturday 26 October between 2pm – 4pm.
