An award-winning food & drink festival entirely dedicated to seafood takes place this July in Dorset showcasing the best catches of the day – well weekend.
Free to attend, the annual event spreads across Weymouth’s famous historic harbourside on 14th-15th July offering plenty of champagne, seafood and family entertainment.
Nearly 100 stalls will be there serving up delicious seafood and crustaceans of all kinds; prawns, lobsters, crabs, scallops, mackerel, squid, oysters – you name it, they’ll have it.
The festival attracts over 50,000 people across the country and they’ve been going for over a decade now. Each year gets bigger and better and 2018 will be their 11th stint with an itinerary that’s jam-packed with things to do, people to see and food to eat.
An excellent line up of national chefs as well as much loved local seafood heroes will be joining the festival for demos and hands-on sessions where you can learn about underutilised species and get some tips and tricks on cooking seafood properly.
We all know nothing pairs better with seafood than a glass of fizz or five. New to this year, drinks expert and journalist Susy Atkins will be showing us how its done by joining much-loved Dorset beverage brands, Pommery Champagne, Conker Gin, Black Cow Vodka and Pothecary Gin for a tasting and tutorial on their stands.
This year, you can learn more about Dorset’s favourite beers in a delicious tasting session and food pairing with The Badger Sett. And at Louise & Lobster’s stand, you can experience and enjoy a glass of Cuvée Louise Champagne served with a locally-sourced BBQ lobster half for just £30.

The Pommery Dorset Seafood Festival raises funds for the Fishermen’s Mission – a charity that provides emergency support alongside practical and emotional care. It helps all fishermen, active or retired, and their families who have worked hard to provide high quality fish caught in a responsible manner.
