Head down to Leopold Square this weekend to enjoy an afternoon filled with free live music. The Square is scheduled to welcome talented musicians from across the UK throughout the season, hosting summer festivities every weekend.
On Saturday 11th May, the Square will welcome the Washboard Resonators. Riding the wave of a resurgent vintage movement in modern music, the Leeds based Resonators bring fresh energy to the sounds of the 1920’s onwards. Sharp dressing, sharp playing, smooth singing, and all multi-talented, these guys are the real deal. Dust off your spats and be ready to dance.
As for Sunday 12th May, it will feature Nicola Farnon, one of the UK’s true musical gems. Nicola’s combination of sparkling jazz vocals and highly accomplished double bass playing is known to all Leopold Square regulars. Accompanied by the colossal talents of Pierro Tucci (piano/sax) and Phil Johnson (drums), this will be a true delight for all music lovers.
