Pie Week is an annual celebration of all things pie, started in 2007 by Jus-Rol. This year, to celebrate the tasty event (running from 2-8th March), True North Brew Co is hiding a golden pie and several silver pies across its Sheffield venues, and big prizes are in store for the lucky customer who finds them. The customer who finds the golden one will win free pie for a year, and their photo will be hung up in the venue. Meanwhile, customers who find a silver one will win ‘buy one get one free’ on pies for a year.
Executive Head Chef at True North Brew Co, Andy Burns said: “Our customers love it when Pie Week comes around. It’s one of our most popular food events and we wanted to do something fun this year so we took a page out of Willy Wonka’s book. Come down to one of our venues and see if you’re a winner! We’ll also be serving up a selection of delicious pies all week with some new recipes you won’t have tried!”
To take part, just pop into your local venue and order a ‘prize pie’. If you find a gold or silver filling, you’re a winner!
The venues taking part include: The Old House, The York, Riverside Kelham, The Broadfield, The British Oak, The Blue Stoops, The Crown & Anchor, The Milton Arms, The Punch Bowl, and The Waggon & Horses
