The impending revelation of this year’s new look Kelham Island Museum, magical maker’s emporium is fast approaching.


The event takes place on the 1st-2nd of December and promises to deliver enchanting and festive Victorian-era vibes setting you on a journey back through time. The wondrous winter event is set to feature a wide collection of entertainment from over 100 market stalls, aerial circus acrobatics, a performer’s stage and busker’s corner, family crafts storytelling and an array of heritage crafts and workshops.

The emporium will be made up of five sections; Carnival Courtyard, which will be set in a hall with a music stage and a fine selection of festive foods and drinks on offer. All that sparkles, containing an array of twinkling jewellery and luxurious gifts. The Christmas Gallery made up of a selection of festive stalls. The North Pole Depot, Santa’s grotto and workshop with other gifts available there also and lastly, Sheffield Made, goodies from makers and artisans of Sheffield.

Helen Featherstone, Director of Sheffield Industrial Museums trust said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to the Magical Makers Emporium and hope we help get everyone’s festive season under way in a unique and interesting way.”

This years’ experience will also provide a fantastic assortment of food stalls, offering a range of multi cultured cuisine as well as mulled win, gin cocktails and a prosecco van being available also.
