Over thirty years after its founding, the renowned Juju Club returns on the 3rd May with two, promising new acts: ‘ONIPA’ and ‘Captain Avery and The Cosmic Triceratops of Intergalactic Peace’.

The Juju Club is devoted to promoting live world music bands that promise a night full of ferocious dancing and energetic rhythms. Its featured bands are set to deliver an unforgettable night to their audience.

The gig, which will take place at Crookes Social Club, will feature an impressive collection of sounds. ONIPA is set to play music that combines different styles of West African music and contemporary dance music, fusing electronics and deep afro grooves. Their successful debut EP ‘Open My Eyes’ is becoming a wide sensation, and promises a night full of wild dancing. Supporting ONIPA, the self-described intergalactic sonic miscreants, ‘’Captain Avery and the Cosmic Triceratops of Intergalactic Peace’ will be performing psychedelic afro beats, with traces of garage rock.

Even more, DJs Papa Al and The Disorientalist will also add their own touch to a night full of groovy sounds.

All profits from the event will go to the Ghana-based charity, International Needs.
