Festival of the Mind is returning to Sheffield this September and promises something of interest for everyone. The festival is a huge collaborative event between the University of Sheffield’s academics and leading experts from within Sheffield’s cultural and creative industries.
The 10 day event is all about attracting students and the general public to Sheffield to showcase and celebrate the University and our city through national and global themes.
The festival’s programme will soon be available with a run down of what events will be taking place, so keep an eye on their website.
What To expect from Festival of the Mind?
Festival Director, Professor Vanessa Toulmin says “Festival of the Mind promises to capture the spirit of invention and collaboration, the love of ideas and makes Sheffield such a wonderful place.”
In 2016, the festival attracted 50,000 visitors to the city across 75 events at 16 venues which is nothing to scoff at. Here’s hoping for just as much success for 2018.
The festival will run between 20th-30th September and will see everything from music and live performances to installations across the city.
