Every Friday throughout July, Last Laugh Comedy Club are bringing two of the best comedians from the Edinburgh Fringe to Sheffield City Hall ahead of this year’s festival, giving Sheffield audiences a chance to get a taste of the biggest comedy event in the world. The preview shows will be kicking off on 5 July with stand-up performances from award-winning comedians Christian Reilly and Nina Gilligan.

Sally-Anne Hayward “combines the things you shouldn’t like about your best friend’s mum with the sensibilities of Jack the Ripper”. An accomplished radio presenter with stage and TV acting credentials, Sally-Anne’s confident persona and quick wit have rapidly made her a much sought-after comedian. Troy Hawke is an erudite home-schooled 1930’s throwback, “the Errol Flynn of the high street”. Educated, sophisticated, but utterly clueless, he tackles modern issues head on in his uniquely untimely manner.

Japanese post-rock titans MONO and Belfast’s And So I Watch You From Afar headline a day of crushing riffs and left-field noise in the atmospheric City Hall Ballroom.

AN AUDIENCE WITH SIR MICHAEL MORPURGO
