Second wave (two-tone) ska revival band Bad Manners are set to perform at the Foundry on Saturday 12th October. Formed in 1976, the group have gained a reputation for notoriety over the years due to the on-stage antics of their outlandish huge-tongued and shaven-headed frontman Buster Bloodvessel. Thanks to Buster’s manic exploits, the band quickly became the novelty favourites of the fad, earning early exposure through their Top of The Pops TV performances and an appearance in the live film documentary, Dance Craze. Between 1980 and 1983, Bad Manners spent 111 weeks in the UK Singles Chart. After becoming popular in London, the group signed to Magnet Records in 1980 for a six figure sum, and then became more well-known. Some of the band’s more notable hits include “My Girl Lollipop”, “Lip Up Fatty”, “Ne Ne Na Na Na Na Nu Nu”, “Lorraine”, “Just A Feeling”, “Walking In The Sunshine”, “Can Can” and “Special Brew”.
