The Grammy and Tony Award-winning musical American Idiot will be performed at the Sheffield Lyceum Theatre from Tuesday 26 – Saturday 30 March.
After multiple successful runs in the West End and a sell-out UK tour, American Idiot arrives in Sheffield this March as part of it’s 10th anniversary tour.
The acclaimed musical drama follows the lives of three boyhood friends as they seek purpose in a post 9/11 America. This rendition stars Tom Milner (Waterloo Road) as Johnny, Luke Friend (X Factor) as St Jimmy and Sam Lavery (X Factor) as Whatsername.
As the title would suggest, the show features the music of popular rock band, Green Day. The play has received widespread praise for introducing a generation of theatregoers to the intense and emotive stylings of the band. It has also attained critical success in winning the 2010 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album along with two Tonys.
