A house that is upside down, also know as the Upside Down House, could be coming to Sheffield’s Tudor Square this summer.
Fans of the Stranger Things TV series need not worry, this Upside Down House is about being creative and entertained, rather than a bunch of kids falling into a parallel universe.
“It’s a really unique attraction,” says CEO of Upside Down House Tom Dirse. “And it’s an opportunity for people to get creative and take unique, amazing photos. The architecture is amazing, there’s furniture attached to the walls and various rooms you can go in.
“Sheffield council have been really great with us and fingers crossed it all goes through with planning. The UK has really taken to this idea and we’re so grateful, especially with the council potentially allowing us to build on such a historic site at Tudor Square, what with all the theatres there.”
If all goes to plan, the Upside Down House will be installed at Tudor Square this summer, with plans to stick around for a year. “It’s a really original attraction and for people of all ages. We get elderly people down, young people – and they usually spend 10-15 mins in there and get creative with their photos!”
