The countdown is on for this weekend’s huge A Taste of Independent Sheffield event, organised by local brewery company True North.
We’ve already seen the full music line-up announced, as well as the news that Lord Mayor of Sheffield Magid Magid will be opening the weekend-long event. Not only will there be four Sheffield breweries present, there’ll be some tasty spirits on offer too. Check ’em out below…
True North Brew Co
True North Brew Co’s core range of popular beers have been available since 2012 are full of flavour with rotating recipes which allow the beers to remain seasonal.
Abbeydale Brewery
Starting back in 1996 Abbeydale Brewery has become fundamental to Sheffield’s brewing scene. Exit 33

O’Hara’s Rum
O’Hara’s spiced rum is a blend of the finest three year and five year Guyanan rum along with a five year Trinidad and Tobago rum flavoured with a ground breaking fusion of cinnamon, lime, vanilla, spices and a devilish secret ingredient for an incredibly smooth drink.
Sheffield Dry Gin
Sheffield Dry Gin was the first gin to be distilled and bottled in Sheffield for over 100 years. Using traditional gin botanicals alongside fennel, cardamom and gentian root that lend the gin its dry herbaceous character. For balance, True North add a small amount of grapefruit, lemon peel, Sheffield Honey and Hendersons relish.
Sir Robin of Locksley
