Ecclesall Road’s newest tenant, Honeycomb Bar and Restaurant, is set to open its doors to the public mid-November.
The Pan-Asian bar and restaurant will be moving into the space where the Botanical pub stood vacant for years. Recently, the late bar Three Monkeys moved into the unit but seems to have closed down already.
“Ecclesall Road is one of the busiest roads in Sheffield and it’s full of well-established eateries, plenty of Italians and Indians but not really any Asian fusion. We hope to bring something fresh, a little high-end and somewhere people can spend an evening with good food, drinks and music,” says owner Fraser Burnand.
The venue will have around 70-80 covers and after the new year, private dining will be available upstairs.

“The menu will be Pan-Asian, so taking inspiration from Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisine. Our chefs have taken influence from restaurants like Tattu, Zuma and ROKA and they’ll be putting their own spin on it.”
The decor is said to be quite plush, there will be a DJ, lively atmosphere and a nice cocktail and champagne bar where mixologists will be on hand to shake up a concoction or five.
