The first weekend of December is upon us and we have the low down on some of the hottest events occurring in Sheffield over the next few days.

The ever popular Christmas market returns for yet another year of festivity. The Two day event will bring numerous market stalls, as well as a variation of activities for the entire family to enjoy, and, of course, we mustn’t forget to mention the fascinating stories told by the museum.


Etsy Made Local.
The Cutlers’ Hall // 1st-2nd
Back for its fourth consecutive year and organised by Sheffield based entrepreneurs, Etsy local is set to deliver an array of stalls with alluring products from local artists, designers and makers. A licensed bar and snacks are also on the menu, so what’s not to love? This is the perfect place to get a wonderfully unique Christmas present this year.

Dive into the world of cult cinema. A secret showing (secret being the operative word) of some of the world’s most captivating classic cults. The films o show will remain a surprise until the opening credits start to role.


Yellow Arches Winter Warmer.

In order to kick December off with a joyous bang, Yellow Arches are throwing a hearty party full of wholesome winter festivities. Warm your cockles by their bonfire, with hot food and mulled wine available in the courtyard and since all parties require music, a DJ will be in the main venue ready to play an array of pumped up genres.

To celebrate their recent remodel, this weekend sees Yellow Arches host a number of local artists, creating a very special exhibition of some of the Sheffield’s finest contemporary artists.

As an annual tradition, Weston Park museum transform their Arctic World gallery into the wonderfully magical home of the one and only, Father Christmas. Take a step inside Santa’s grotto and meet the big man himself, who’ll be there with a warm welcome, presents and lots of festive joy.

Sheffield Thai society is hosting another Thai Culture night. An authentic vegetarian Thai menu will be available, along with a diverse offering of Thai entertainment. There will also be mini performances and a Thai Language & Culture stall.
