EMERGENCY & RESCUE SERVICES FAMILY FUN DAY

Meadowhall // 18 August // £2 Donation per person

Yorkshire Air Ambulance have organised a family fun day to give the people of Sheffield  a chance to meet the incredible people who are always on call and do amazing work. There will be 30 vehicles to explore, including the Yorkshire Air Ambulance landing on site. Donations will be split between the National Emergency Services Museum and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

SHEFFIELD FILM AND COMIC CON

SUMMER NIGHTS OUTDOOR FILM SCREENING: DIRTY DANCING AND THE GREATEST SHOWMAN

Wentworth Woodhouse // 24-26 August // £10.50- £15.50

This outdoor festival of film screenings takes place in beautiful heritage locations each year, this year being Wentworth Woodhouse. THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG

The West End smash hit, deemed the funniest comedy around is coming to Sheffield. Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society are putting on a performance of a 1920’s murder mystery when low and behold… everything goes wrong.

FLASHDANCE- THE MUSICAL

WALKING WITH DINOSAURS

HACIENDA CLASSICAL

Hacienda Classical with Manchester Camerata, the city’s biggest experimental orchestra are set to rock Don Valley Bowl at a huge outdoor gig this August. The first night of a weekend double bill organised by The Leadmill will see old and new content , featuring their third new set.

DRONFEST MUSIC FESTIVAL

Dronfest has been running for 19 years and is very family orientated, charitable festival. The festival will see 2 stages of live music, alongside an accompaniment of food stalls. Dronfest call themselves “the Music Festival with a Big Heart. Great Bands. Great Causes.”

JAKE SHEARS OF SCISSOR SISTERS

Lead singer of the Scissor Sisters, Jake Shears is coming from across the pond. He’s coming to The Leadmill to share his new self-titled, debut solo album, which is due to drop this summer. He’s been busy, making his theatre debut and writing a book but now he is firmly back on the music scene.

THE PANTALOONS : AS YOU LIKE IT
