Football’s Coming Home to Peddler

It’s actually coming home, isn’t it? England play Sweden in the FIFA World Cup quarter-finals this Saturday at the gloriously-organised time of 3pm. And better yet, Peddler is opening its doors early to screen the game in the courtyard.

Southgate’s boys have made the nation fall in love with the national side again. After a dramatic penalty shoot-out with Colombia on Tuesday, we’ve got a big chance of reaching the World Cup semi-finals. Hell, we’d only have to beat Russia or Croatia to get to the final…Yes, we are definitely getting carried away.

Over at 92 Burton Road, Peddler Market is opening at the earlier time of 1pm, with plenty of time to get some snap and a pint for the big kick off. Settle in, we might just do it!

If football isn’t on the agenda, there’s plenty more to get stuck into.

North Brewing Co will be on hand for a tap takeover, showcasing a new tropical pale ale producing especially for Peddler.  Watch out for Dukkha
Get Wurst / Golden Balls / The Gravy Train Poutine / Nether Edge Pizza Company / Manzoku / The Middle Feast / Sabroso Street / Sheffield Homeboys / Cheesemasters / Tikk’s Thai Kitchen / Urban Cheesecake / The Depot Bakery / Yakumama / What’s Your Beef.

Over in the Basement at 2pm, Clobbercalm and @23oz.Indigo are hosting a hand dyeing demo. For the gin lovers out there, there’s a 45 minute gin cocktail masterclass to whet thy whistle.

Elsewhere, RIDE OUT starts (and finishes) at 92 Burton Road. The bike ride heads out to The Anglers Rest in Bamford, Our Cow Molly Dairy, The Grasshopper Cafe in Hope, Hop Hideout on Abbeydale Rd and Russell’s Bike Shed at Sheffield Railway Station, before heading back to Peddler.
