Regather Comedy Club with Bethany Black // Regather Works // March 17 // £6.50

A night of taboo and controversial comedy, Bethany Black headlines the return of Regather Comedy Club. Support act The Delightful Sausage will also indulge you in alternative comedy. Sheffield Beer Week // Various Venues // Until March 19 // Varied Prices

The week-long event culminates this weekend with tastings, talks, pairings, live music, street food and more. The event is spread across a number of venues across Sheffield from The White Lion to Hop Hideout, Sentinel, The Old House, Beer Alive! at Don Valley and many more in between. Liverpool’s latest indie-rock export Circa Waves start their biggest headline tour to date here in Sheffield. The four-piece are showcasing their brand new album Different Creatures with a 13 date tour across the country. Doors open at 6.30pm. The event is 14+. For more info click here.

Vintage Weigh & Pay // Trafalgar Warehouse // March 18 // £1.50 entry

Shop ’til you vintage drop without breaking the bank. Open from 11am–5pm, once you’ve paid entry fee you’ll be given a bag to fill and let loose in six tonnes of vintage clothing. When you feel like you can’t take any more you head to the pay station and pay for the weight of your items. A kilo of vintage clothes is just £15! Sheffield is the UK’s leading destination for people seeking outdoor adventure, city culture and rural escapes. The Outdoor City Weekender returns with an exciting line-up of action-packed events. Building on the success of last year’s inaugural weekender, the 2017 edition promises to be a weekend of epic proportions with something for everyone. Once again, the headline events of the weekend will be the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival (ShAFF), the Climbing Works International Festival (CWIF) and The Magnificent Seven hill climb challenge, alongside a diverse range of fringe activity. Thunder // Sheffield City Hall // 18th March // £28.50

The mighty Thunder will be undertaking a UK tour this March. The hotly anticipated show will be packed with many of the hits from the band’s stellar history, their 2017 album Rip It Up and also tracks from their follow up to the 2015 top ten hit album Wonder Days, described by Classic Rock as: “Brilliant… a massive reminder that class is both timeless and incandescent”.  For more info click here.

Dr Frankenstein // Crucible Theatre // 17th & 18th March // Varied Prices

There’s still chance to catch Selma Dimitrijevic and Lorne Campbell’s unique adaptation of Mary Shelley’s famous tale. Like the good doctor, the story has been subjected to a healthy dose of experimentation in Northern Stage’s adaptation. Stone the flamin’ crows! Priscilla, the fabulous, flirty, feel good musical is heading to Sheffield and bringing with it all the heat and warmth of the Australian sun. Based on the international smash-hit movie, Priscilla follows the journey of three friends and their battered old bus across the Australian outback. With glitz and glamour and a host of outrageous costumes, Priscilla delivers wall to wall disco classics including ‘It’s Raining Men’, ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’, ‘Hot Stuff’ and ‘I Will Survive’. It only seems a short time ago since Dirty Little Secret was transformed into the beloved Night Kitchen that we have all come to know and love.  For their 3rd birthday TNK have dug deep and got three stellar acts to play Sheffield for the very first time: Delta Funktionen (Delsin Records/Radio Matrix), DJ HAUS (Unknown To The Unknown) and ASOK EXTENDED SET (Lobster Theremin/Mistress Recordings). Peace In The Park Gumbo! Fundraiser // The White Lion // 19th March // Free Entry

The guys at Mads n da Bads; Vinyl Only, Fools have organised a vinyl session to raise funds for the Sheffield cause. The White Lion promises chilled Sunday afternoon vibes to set you up for your heavy week ahead or get over the last night’s fun. The idea is to pop along with your favourite vinyl, stick your name on the board and wait your turn to play your own tunes. Kids craft, face painting and dress up available to distract the little ones whilst you spin. For more info click here.
