Donny Fest returns to Eco-Power Stadium on Saturday 7th June 2025, with platinum-selling artist James Bay set to headline a stacked bill of indie favourites, local talent and rising stars.

Joining the Hold Back The River hitmaker on the Main Stage are the legendary Heather Small, indie icons The View, cult favourites The Farm, and rising psych-pop crew Afflecks Palace.

The line-up also includes local favourites The Denabys, Under the Influence, The Rosadocs, and Coventry’s Idle Noise.

Whilst most of the acts from 2024’s postponed Askern Music Festival remain, Reverend and the Makers will no longer appear due to scheduling conflicts, organisers have promised a festival that builds on the legacy of the previous incarnation of the festival, with a bigger stage and a broader platform under the Donny Fest name.

Over on the Acoustic Stage, fans can catch intimate sets from James Walsh (Starsailor) and Simon & Oscar (Ocean Colour Scene), as well as a host of unsigned Yorkshire talent who secured their slots through the festival’s Apply to Play scheme – including Sam Scherdel, The 48K’s, Daisy Peacock, Calum Green, and more.

The festival site will feature a fan-park style acoustic area, street food vendors, and fairground rides – all set against the unique backdrop of Doncaster Rovers’ home ground.

Organisers added: “To the people of Askern who supported us from the beginning, we extend our deepest gratitude. Your enthusiasm made this all possible, and we hope you’ll continue to support us on this new journey.”
