After a five month refurbishment under brand new management in True North Brew Co, The Punch Bowl in Crookes is set to reopen its doors on Tuesday 17 September.

True North, which already owns a number of venues throughout Yorkshire and Derbyshire including The Broadfield and Riverside Kelham, is bringing their wealth of experience in the hospitality industry to reinvent the venue.

From the food and drink, to the look and atmosphere, everything at The Punch Bowl has been carefully accounted for by the established team at True North. Interior designer Paul Carruthers has taken the lead on the impressive refurbishment project. Bringing an individuality to the venue, Paul said: “The interior will be a reflection of the restored character of the venue, the nature of the community and the personality of the company.”

The Punch Bowl general manager Jonathan Kay, a True North veteran having working in the industry for over 10 years, said: “The Punch Bowl is a great place to meet up with friends and family in a lively and welcoming pub. We will have some great cask ales, craft beer options and a variety of cocktails! Plus, we’ve got incredible views over Sheffield from our function room – so you can even host your own private events with us.”

To celebrate the brand-new venue, The Punch Bowl will be hosting an opening party on Friday 27 September. Head down from 7pm to check out the new venue and sample their food and drink offerings, plus the first 50 people at the party can enjoy a Sheffield Dry Gin on the house. Full details of the event will be posted to social media later so keep your eyes peeled.
