Sheffield showed up in style for the 2025 Exposed Awards last night, our annual celebration of the city’s finest in nightlife, hospitality, music, retail and more. Hosted at the ever-buzzing Peddler Warehouse and sponsored by The IPM Group UK, it was an evening packed with pride, passion and plenty of Steel City energy.
One of the biggest cheers of the night came as Hop Hideout, the bottle shop and bar tucked into the new Leah’s Yard development, scooped Best New Bar, cementing its status as one of the city’s most beloved beery gems.

The city’s culinary scene is in rude health, and the crowd applauded the Jöro team, which snapped up Best New Restaurant for its swanky new venture in Oughtibridge – proof that the Michelin Guide favourite shows no sign of slowing down when it comes to pushing the boundaries of modern dining.
Always a poignant moment in the night’s proceedings, the Sarah Nulty Special Recognition Award went to Hope Works – the iconic underground venue that has defined alternative nightlife around these parts for over a decade.

The city’s thriving music scene had its moment too. Best Unsigned Band went to the gloriously noisy Django Jones & the Mystery Men, whose post-punk energy has made them a standout on the local gig circuit.
And just when you thought the evening couldn’t get any more vibey, genre-bending jazz-fusion outfit Malah Palinka took to the stage for a superb finale – delivering a bold and brilliant Arctic Monkeys/Beyoncé/Britney mashup that had the whole room dancing.

Of course, no Exposed Awards night is complete without a good knees-up afterwards – and guests did just that at the wild official afterparties hosted at Factory Floor and Yellow Arch. Rumour has it a few sore heads are making the rounds this morning!
A huge thanks goes to all our sponsors, judges, performers and every single person who came out to celebrate what makes Sheffield so special. Massive congratulations to all our nominees and winners – your hard work, creativity and graft make this great city what it is.
