The Guardian has named Sheffield’s Shakespeares pub as one of the best in the UK.
The Shakey was included in the publication’s ‘Best Craft Beer Pubs’, describing the Gibralter Street boozer as a “plainly decorated former Georgian coaching inn”. The other four categories for the Guardian’s top 50 were ‘Best Pubs With a View’, ‘Best Pubs For Sunday Lunch’, ‘Best Community-Run Pubs’, ‘Best Historic Pubs’.

The pub won the Sheffield CAMRA Real Ale Pub of the Year award in 2013 and was nominated for Best Traditional Pub at 2017’s Exposed Awards. You can the Guardian’s full list here.
