Renowned Canadian donut peddlers Tim Hortons has announced it will open the doors to its brand-new drive-thru restaurant in Crystal Peaks Village Retail Park, on Thursday 24 June.
For the uninitiated, Tim Hortons is one of North America’s largest restaurant chains (think Canadian Dunkin Donuts), and finally made its way to the United Kingdom in 2017. From as early as 7am customers will be able to get their hands on its famous coffee, freshly baked donuts, and delicious meals.
To celebrate the opening, the first customer in the drive-thru and restaurant queue will be awarded with free drinks for a whole year (a prize worth a staggering £3,100). The brand will also give away a free breakfast meal to its first 100 customers, and is running a month of giveaways including drinks and donuts for those who activate their Tim Horton’s digital wallet. Guests will simply need to scan a QR code found at the restaurant to activate the rewards wallet.
Known for its Canadian charm, the new Tim Hortons franchise will be open from 6am till midnight, seven days a week with a menu featuring best-selling items, including Timbits, Iced Capps, Freshly Baked Donuts and Tim’s Crispy Chicken Sandwich.
Kevin Hydes, Chief Commercial Officer of Tim Hortons franchise in the UK commented on the opening: “The arrival of Tim Hortons in Yorkshire has been highly anticipated by our fans, so I am thrilled to announce our grand opening on 24th June. We are giving away some amazing launch prizes and encourage guests to head down throughout the day to try their favourite items. We look forward to welcoming the Sheffield community and cannot wait to see what this opening brings.”
