Cambridge Street is set to give a hygge welcome to all-new wellness space Güs, as the brand brings sauna, ice bath, and Scandinavian café culture to Sheffield city centre this winter.

Located in the historic former Sunday School building at 34 Cambridge Street, Güs will offer both guided and unguided sauna and ice bath experiences, alongside a relaxed café space serving locally sourced food and drink.

The venture marks the first location for the wellness brand and forms part of the council’s Heart of the City development.

Speaking about the move, a Güs spokesperson said: “Güs is all about bringing a fresh approach to wellness in Sheffield, and we’ve found the perfect home in the historic Sunday School building – a beautiful blend of old character and new design.

“This isn’t just about offering a new service; it’s about creating a true community space. Our unguided and expertly guided sessions, which include sauna and ice bath experiences, are designed for everyone, while our café, which champions local suppliers, provides a perfect place to unwind.”

The venture is set to become the first location for the wellness brand and forms part of the council’s Heart of the City development.

Councillor Ben Miskell, Chair of the Transport, Regeneration and Climate Policy Committee at Sheffield City Council, said: “From the very outset we wanted to make sure our Heart of the City development was going to offer something different, something of high quality and something that would drive people into the city centre. Welcoming Güs to the project shows that we are achieving just that.

This new unit will mark the first facility the company has opened and is a big vote of confidence not only for the Heart of the City project but also the city centre as a whole.”

Güs joins a growing number of independent and creative businesses setting up shop in and around Cambridge Street, adding another reason to revisit the evolving city centre this winter.
