Illuminate the Gardens, the popular fireworks and lighting extravaganza that takes place at Sheffield Botanical Gardens across Bonfire Night weekend, returns this year with all-new attractions and a new theme.

This year’s theme takes attendees on a ‘A Journey Through Evolution’, from dinosaurs to robots, to honour the development of growth and transformation. This year, the event also boasts three new installations, including the Atomic Lights Garden and the Trail of Aquatic Wonder.

They have also added extra food traders this year, so attendees can grab anything from pizza to jerk chicken, mac n cheese, fish and chips, noodles, curry, churros, brownies and much more.

This year’s brewery bar sponsors are Bradfield Brewery, who return for the fifth time as well as Heist Brew and Bosun’s Brewery, all providing an amazing range of drink choices for the bars on site.

If you’ve got little ones with sensitive ears, you can join us for a ‘low bangs’ fireworks display in the early evening or stay later to enjoy the exhilarating main display. Of course, the real star of the show is the wonderful venue itself. Experience the Botanical Gardens in all its glory with wonderful lighting highlighting some of its stunning features.

The first event took place in November 2017, and each year continues to evolve, while also seeing the return of its most popular family favourite installations, such as the Tales from The Other Side shadow theatre and the Sound Sculpture Garden.

With over 10 illuminated installations, walkabout performances, two firework displays and a lighting show, Illuminate The Gardens is a magical night out for the whole family.

The events take place on Friday 4th, Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th November. Saturday is already SOLD OUT, but tickets for the Friday and Sunday are available here
