To mark the Arctic Monkeys’ run of homecoming shows next week (18, 19, 21, 22 September), the band have announced that photographer Zackery Michael will curate an exhibition at Kelham Island Arts Collective’s Gage Gallery.
The exhibition will showcase previously unseen photographs of the band taken during the making of Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino and the subsequent tour of the album.
Alongside images of the band, the exhibition will include a version of the Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino model, originally created by Alex Turner, tour posters and a short film giving a behind the scenes look at the making of the album and tour.
A limited number of prints, posters, postcards and vinyl will be available to purchase exclusively at the exhibition. All profits raised from the sale of all framed prints by Zackery Michael will go to the Centrepoint UK charity which helps out young homeless people.
The free exhibition runs 17 – 23 September, 11am – 7pm Monday to Saturday and 11am – 4pm on Sunday.
Arctic Monkeys will play Sheffield’s Fly DSA Arena on 18, 19, 21 and 22 September. The AM:ZW exhibition will be held at the KIAC’s Gage Gallery on Ball Street, Kelham Island.
