Music in the Gardens // July 1
Now in its 12th year, Botanical Gardens’ ‘Music in the Gardens’ concert has become a staple of the arrival of summer. The highlight of the weekend comes on Saturday when 70s art rockers 10cc – best known for their hit I’m Not In Love – take to the stage.
Oakstock Festival // 30 June – 1 July
Oakstock returns to Sheffield for two days of live music, beer, BBQs and the ultimate summer festival vibes in Mosborough. The British Oak will also be serving their brilliant wood-fired pizzas alongside a wide range of craft beers and ales to keep festival-goers nourished.
Walkley Festival // Ends 2 July
Running between Saturday 17th June and Sunday 2nd July, Walkley Fest showcases the very best that Walkley has to offer. Jam-packed full of events, including a photography competition, a clog dance workshop and an art trail, it’s clear this is a real community affair.
Worrall Festival and Gala // 30 June – 1 July
The picturesque village of Worrall, on the edge of the city, is hosting the 9th Worrall Festival & Gala. With a line-up featuring some of Sheffield’s best up-and-coming bands, alongside well-known local favourites, the festival and gala also provides entertainment for children such as crafts, music workshops and much more. A bar will feature a selection of locally brewed ales and ciders.
Green Day // 2 July // Tickets from £43.00
If you want to go ahead and make your weekend a three day binge, get yourself down t’arena and see Green Day. The band may be in there 31st year, but they still play with all the same energy and bluster as they always have.
