Sheffield Pride

Sheffield Pride at Sheffield University Students’ Union.

Sheffield Pride is back on 4th July and for its ninth year, it’s taking over the University of Sheffield Students Union. Celebrating Sheffield’s LGBT community, Pride is a whole fun-filled day and night of music and activities. This year sees a new addition to Pride, with a free family area playing host to live performances from local artists throughout the afternoon and plenty to do for all ages, sponsored by the University of Sheffield.

The day itself will be split into three main sections; starting from midday to 5pm, an evening event from 8pm followed by an after party from 11pm. There will be live performances all day, as well as a marketplace expo, DJs, poetry and great deals on food and drink. There will also be screenings of LGBT-themed films in the auditorium and a candlelit vigil on the concourse in conjunction with the Centre for HIV.

The evening events kick off at 9pm with Caberet, Drag and dancing all on the menu until 1am. The after party begins at 11pm and is set to be massive with dancers, flames, neon, glitter and a headline performance until the early hours.

Entry to the day and evening events is just £3, with a further £6 charge for the after party. For more information on all the line-up, check out the website sheffieldpride.co.uk.
