Abbeydale Vintage Flea Market
Sheffield Antiques Quarter present their Vintage Flea Market at the iconic Abbeydale Picture House on July 12.
From 11am-5pm on Sunday July 12, Abbeydale Picture House will be taken over by stalls upon stalls of vintage apparel, antique furniture, retro bric-a-brac, art and more. A plethora of food and drink stalls – including a vintage cafe and bar – will be available for refreshments and live music will entertain throughout the day.
The event aims to celebrate the pre-war cinema and breathe back a bit of life into the building which has entertained the masses for so many years. The Antiques Quarter has, for the past year, hosted a number of pop up vintage flea markets and monthly markets under the name Pedlar’s Corner Carboots (1st Sunday of the month), as well as regular food and produce markets.
SAQ have brought attention to this corner of Sheffield, and the building in particular, and hope to continue to establish the Picture House as a hub of the community.
