Key amongst the fixtures will be a bruising clash against fellow contenders Ipswich Town at Hillsborough on 16 April that could be one of the pivotal matches of the season – so be sure to pick up a ticket before they sell out.

And although Sheffield United are currently languishing mid-table in League One, they feature amongst the betting that can be found online at Betway that should give even the most ardent fan an extra reason to celebrate!

Sheffield, whilst football betting can be a fun spectator sport, sometimes it’s a good idea to get out there and enjoy sport more actively. And that’s the thinking behind events such as the Sheffield Half Marathon that takes place on 10 April.

This epic racing event attracts thousands of participants, and although it starts and finishes in the city, there’s enough spectacular views of the surrounding Peak District on the route to keep you inspired.

Plus, even little ones can join in on the fun with a mini-marathon that takes in a 1.5 km course. And if you’re busy that weekend, then there are plenty of other great running events such as the Bluebell Wood Colour Dash on 30 April that all serve as a welcome reminder of how much fun it can be to keep fit!
