  • Safe At Last Concert

Now this is one you can feel good about attending – hosted by the Rotherham United Community Sports Trusts, this event will be raising funds for Safe At Last – a charity for young people who run away from home.   • Music in the round: Schubert Die Winterreise

If you want to get your weekend started with a bit of class, music in the round’s 2016 autumn concert, Schubert’s Die Winterreise is a great choice. On Friday evening at the Crucible Studio Theatre, all those attending will be treated to Schubert’s Die Winterreise, once described by the man himself  to a friend as “a cycle of terrifying songs” that “please me more than all the rest, and in time they will please you too.” The first recital in a series presenting all three of Schubert’s great song cycles, performed by baritone Roddy Williams and pianist Christopher Glynn.   • Hot Cakes v Jungle Cakes

A warehouse party of epic proportions – three rooms of bass, jungle, breakbeat, garage bassline and drum and bass from the likes of Ed Solo, JFB, Marcus Nasty, The Asbo Disco, Jurassik, Narcs, A-Kid and more, as labels HotCakes and Jungle Cakes go head to head with some of the very best acts they have on their roster.
