New Year’s Eve: 7 club nights in Sheffield

Exposed and Skiddle have got together, had a little think, and come up with seven of our highlights from Sheffield’s New Year’s Eve club nights. Good year or bad year, let’s bow out in style.

Black and Gold @ Kettle Black // 6pm – 2am // £11.25
Eccy Road cocktail bar is promising its biggest part of the year on 31 December, with international tune spinner DJ JustMayB on the decks playing the best house and R’n’B until closing time. If that ain’t enough to tempt you into a donning the glad rags for the night, there’ll be a complimentary glass of prosecco on arrival plus a live saxophonist to take you into 2019.

NYE Mega Rave @ Hope Works // 11:45pm – 7am // £11
If you want to see in the New Year good and proper, Hope Works’ mega seven hour rave could be worth a shout. With the likes of Lo Shea, Chris Dukenfield, Tino, Pretty Pretty Good and a load more on the bill, you can expect the usual good vibes.

Candypants @ The House of Hugo // 10pm – 3am // £10
“We’re the beat behind some of the world’s wildest days and nights.” Candypants know how to throw a party and by their own assertion, are pretty damn good at it too. Expect R’nB, house and old skool tunes bringing in the 2019.

Bassfest @ Magna // 6pm – 4am // £49.75
Bassfest NYE is back in Sheffield this year to bring you into the New Year with your ears still ringing. Featuring a host of live acts and DJs this year line-up includes the likes of DJ EZ, Chase & Status (DJ Set), Hardy Caprio and Not3s.

Coki and Solo Banton @ Yellow Arch // 10pm – 4am // £10
Head down to YAS for a night of reggae, dubstep, jungle, acid, tropical, dub, hardcore and techno across three rooms, headlined by dubstep don Coki.

Masquerade Ball @ The Leadmill // 10pm – 4am // £9.05
In typical Leadmill fashion, Sheffield’s most historic indie club is kicking off the New Year with a masquerade extravaganza featuring champagne, confetti, a balloon drop and the same indie, rock and guilty pleasures pop you’ve been enjoying all year round.

DJ Aphrodite and Subzero b2b Murkz with Trilla @ HEX // 10pm – 6am // £8.50
Fusion and Get Up ‘N’ Skank have got together to produce a huge NYE line-up at Queens Road’s HEX nightclub. Grime, dubstep, drum and bass from the likes of Subzero, Cargo, DJ Aphrodite and plenty, plenty more.
