Eighties Reunion Party to come to Sheffield

Spandex lovers rejoice! A massive 80’s reunion night is set to come to Sheffield to launch new book, ‘Dirty Stop Out’s Guide To 1980’s Sheffield’.

Eighties! The Biggest Reunion…Ever will take place at The Genting Club on Saturday 11th June.

The night will take us back to the heady days of Sheffield venues of the era like the Roxy, Josephines and Cairo Jax.

The best (or worst, depending how you look at it) tunes of the decade will be played, spanning ABC to Wham! with a special emphasis on the city’s own exports of the era: The Human League and Heaven 17.

The event is in celebration of the launch of a revised edition of Neil Anderson’s book ‘Dirty Stop Out’s Guide to 1980’s Sheffield’, which takes a nostalgic look back at 80’s nightlife and big hair.

Neil Anderson said: “Sheffield in the 1980s will always be a special era for me as it was the decade I first started to experience the city’s nightscene.

“It was a fantastic time to be young and the new edition of the book will take readers back to that time.”

The event will run from 9:30-2am. Tickets for the event, which is set to be a sell-out, are £10 and available from: http://www.acmretro.com/eighties-the-biggest-reunion-ever/ or www.sivtickets.com
