Volunteering for Heart Research UK
Got any free time over the summer holidays? Well why not earn yourself some good karma by helping out Heart Research UK during National Volunteer week, or during any other time you can spare?
Whether you’re looking for a rewarding and satisfying experience, an increase of knowledge, or simply an enhancement of your CV, by ‘helping hearts’ at the charity you will gain an invaluable sense of achievement by doing your bit in the battle against heart disease.
Fully flexible to accommodate your needs, Heart Research UK offers several activities to get stuck into whilst providing you all the necessary support and resources to ensure you have a valuable, enjoyable and meaningful experience. These include a focus on helping young people live normal lives post heart surgery, holding talks in schools and businesses to improve the health of your community and hosting medical research in hospitals all over the UK.
Also if the hiker inside of you is crying out for an adventure then challenge yourself on the ‘Valleys Walk’ or the ‘Yorkshire Three Peaks’ on the 20 June. More information can be found here http://heartresearch.org.uk/events/yorkshire-three-peaks-valleys alongside an array of other exotic sponsored activities.
Without help from you guys this charity would collapse – volunteers are the blood supply of this respected organisation. So even if you have a couple of hours a week or more time on a regular basis, get involved by applying to www.heartresearch.org.uk/get-involved/volunteering
