The Eagle to open on Ecclesall Road this weekend
Refurbished by the team behind the long-established Cricket Inn boozer, the Eagle will officially open this weekend (15 June) in the bar area of the Graze Inn, formerly known as the Cowshed.
The Eagle will offer local residents and students a range of Thornbridge and guest beers to sup and a menu of homemade deli-style pub snacks that uses locally sourced produce, to pick at after a busy day of work.
The venue located next door to the Graze Inn, has been transformed into a traditional pub with an timeless and stylish aesthetic, while plans to offer Sheffield drinkers live music, tasting sessions and extended opening hours on Friday and Saturday nights are in development, just in time for the summer.
Toby Hickman, general manager of The Eagle had this to say about the pub’s opening: “I’ve lived around Ecclesall Road for years and seen the area go from strength to strength. The Eagle will be a brilliant addition to the local community and I’m confident the vision for the pub will be really impressive. The project to rejuvenate the venue has been fantastic and I can’t wait to see the end result.”
Simon Webster, CEO of Thornbridge Brewery said: “Launching the Eagle is something we’re incredibly excited about. Over the past few years the Ecclesall Road area has developed massively and we feel The Eagle will fit perfectly in the neighbourhood. The project to rejuvenate the venue has been fantastic and I can’t wait to see the end result.”
The Eagle opens for a soft launch on Thursday (13 June), and opens officially to the public on Saturday 15 June.
