Pi Law

Spotlight on: Pi Law

New barrister-led personal injury firm Pi Law Direct’s decision to set up base in Sheffield rather than London is part of a growing trend of businesses relocating up north.

With the city having a strong history in law alongside excellent transport links and numerous social and cultural amenities, it was a no-brainer for the growing company, who saw opportunity in Sheffield as an up-and-coming centre for business.
Pi Law are unique in the fact that they are the first (and indeed only) firm in the UK whose partners are barristers rather than solicitors. In the “chain of command”, it is the barristers who give the final word on most decisions in law, and deal with trials and hearings, so you know you’re in the best of hands. On top of that they’re also London barristers, and much like Harley Street doctors, they are some of the most highly regarded in the world.
With their level of experience and expertise, you’d be forgiven for thinking they charge top rates too. However, depending on the type and value of the claim, the costs will largely be recovered from the other side, and where any of their costs are to be paid by you, they can guarantee any deduction will never be more than 25% of any damages rewarded – and in most cases far less. All of this will be set out clearly before the start of the claim, so there will be absolutely no nasty surprises. Naturally, they also have a ‘no win, no fee’ policy meaning that if you lose your case you will not have to pay any legal costs at all.
Sound fair? To make matters even better, if you want Pi Law to deal with your claims, they’re offering to do it entirely for free for Exposed readers. Where most firms might charge 25%-45% of the damages in terms of costs (meaning someone recovering £5,000 might only see £2750) you’ll get the full amount with Pi Law.  100% of the damages, just by saying you’ve seen this article!
