Sheffield Institute of Arts Degree Show

Spanning from Saturday 13 – Friday 26 June is one of the biggest student art exhibitions in the north, known to showcase outstanding work by Hallam’s most talented artists, makers, designers, photographers and filmmakers. The free entry show offers a roster eclectic enough to keep even the least creative of us engaged, including work in the form of architecture, art and design research, computing, graphics, fashion and much, much more.

The 170-year-old Sheffield Institute of Arts is home to tons of successful students and staff who work on an extensive arsenal of projects with such manufacturers as Panasonic and Gillette. Many graduates have also progressed in opening their own successful design consultancies in Sheffield such as ‘Click Industrial Design’, ‘93ft’ and ‘Yormii’.

It also boasts a massively impressive heritage, hosting first gigs by the Human League and ABC and moulding the education of Nick Park – creator of Wallace and Gromit.

Exhibitions can be found in Arundel Gate Court, Cantor Building, Harmer Building, Hallam Hall, Owen Building, Sheaf Building and S1 Artspace, and of course don’t miss the pre-show drinks reception at 7.15pm in the Millennium Galleries.
