September Mag – Out Now!

Now then muckers!

Our September issue is fresh off the press and we’re coming at you with a jam-packed This is England ’90 special.

Yup – we trekked down the the big smoke to catch an exclusive screening of Shane Meadows’ latest offering and had a chat with cast favourites Woody, Lol, Shaun, Milky, Kelly, Gadget and co., who were just as enthusiastic about the new series as they were about their time spent filming in Sheffield.

We also grabbed scuzzy pop proprietors Nai Harvest and locked ’em in a basement, with the promise that they’d be release once we filmed two live session tracks. Thankfully, they obliged. Check out our extended interview on p24, yeah?

You’ll also find goodies in the form of interviews with cricket legend Freddie Flintoff as he heads out on tour this month, Scottish indie rockers The View who’ve just released a new album, and plenty more exclusives from up-and-coming Sheff grime star MC Coco to theatre actress Pauline Mclynn.

September also heralds the return of Sheffield’s mighty student population, so we’ve taken the liberty of breaking down some of the best known venues to help Sheffield newbies get to grips with the varied nightlife on offer across the city this Fresher’s week. Whether you’re in to cheesy pop, indie anthems or house, we’ve got you covered. No worries, like.

As ever, we’ve gone through all of Sheffield’s listings so you don’t have to, to provide you with the best picks of all the events going on in Sheff this September, from comedy and music to culture and activities for all.

Pick up your physical copy in the usual bars, cafes, shops, etc. around the city.
